I grew up in the heart of agriculture in eastern Washington. All around my parents house was fields of wheat, alfalfa, and livestock. Although the variety of educational resources and systems were limited in the community I grew up in, those experiences are what has transformed me into a more caring, informed, and sensitive educator.
I graduated from Davenport High School in 2011 with a class of 36. Throughout high school, I was a member of the FFA, FBLA, ASB/Leadership, NHS, and basketball and cross country teams. Upon graduation, I attended the University of Idaho (UI). Starting in high school and all throughout my time at UI, I realized exactly how many different perspectives I truly possess, I was a leader on campus, I was a leader in my fraternity, and graduated with a degree in Management/HR and Career and Technical Education within four years. With all of my experiences, I truly believe this will help me provide a quality education to all my students. My love for business education began during my time in Davenport's FBLA chapter. Future Business Leaders of America, with business education, helps bridge the gap between education and the world beyond classroom walls. With all of my experiences, FBLA definitely provided me with the most skills and knowledge of what I wanted my future to be, and I want to share this knowledge with all of my students. |
